Palladio Art | Phill Evans
Palladio’s project presents to me artistic challenges that run full spectrum of my interest and studies. The historic, classical richness of the renaissance period and the contemporary life style of a California community in work and play provide an energized field of excitement.
FILM FESTIVAL SCULPTURE- Wind Kinetic. Paralleling the early ballet dancers with the modern day whimsy and thrilling adventures of the movies
GLASS CASCADE- Sculptural Mural Light Kinetic. Interpreting the spirit of a classical painter’s manipulation of light and color in hand carved glass, reflective metal and electronic light.
As an artist of these times, I am aware of the emphasis for conservation of our planet’s energy resources. I appreciate technology and the potential it has to solve energy problems therefore, I incorporate free wind energy and very high efficiency electronic LED in many of my design concepts.
Note: The electronic light to in Glass Cascade requires about 250 watts of power. Just a few short years go the same effects would have required 5500 watts.
